Could this have been the bast movie of 1985? Well lets take a look at the facts. It stars Chevy Chase before 1990, so we are looking good there. It also has great american actors such as, Joe Don Baker, he is amazing in Charlie Varrick and Walking Tall. M Emmet Walsh, how scarey is he in Blood Simple? George Wendt as a Drug dealer called Fat Sam, clearly not using all the Wendt here but in the ever mortal words of Gummy the junkie, "Fat Sam, he's out of shit, then he gets up he's got shit, how does he do it?" It is hard to tell if Gummie the junkie is talking about the character of Fat Sam or the Acting chops of George Wendt, personally I belive it is the latter, but I digress. So far all of these facts still point to the best comedy of 1985. I guess at this point we can talk about the director, his name was Michael Ritchie. He directed another little movie called The Bad News Bears. The writer for this picture is named Andrew Bergman, yes the very same guy that wrote, produced, and directed Striptease. Yes, the one with Burt Reynolds and that lady that used to be married to the Hudson Hawk but is now married to the guy from Punk'd.
Clearly Fletch is the greatest comedy of 1985, the only movies in competition are Back to the Future, and Mask.
