Arthur
So in the interest of great 80's movies I went back to Arthur. This movie was nominated for oscars in the following categories: Screenplay, Lead actor, Song, and Supporting actor. Unfortunately Dudley Moore lost out to Henry Fonda for On Golden Pond and The Origianl screenplay award went to Chariots of Fire. Burt Bacharach and Christopher Cross et al won the Original song award, and even though Arthurs theme song is genius, the Best supporting award is the one I wanted to bring to your attention.
Sir John Gielgud won a best Supporting role for his portrayal of Hobson the Butler, and he deserved it. He is brilliant in this film. Go watch the film and you will see what I'm talking about. I love the Scene with Gielgud, Dudley Moore, and Liza Minnelli on the street, just after she steals the tie. Gielgug and Minnelli's timing is perfect. Seriously, go watch the movie it is better than anything that is in the theatre today and you can watch it at home while drinking until you become Arthur, then you can head on downtown, pick up a hooker, and go to your favorite restaurant. If your aunt and uncle are there it is best to just pretend you don't see them unless you have some good jokes about small islands.
