Brick
This is like a modern day teen version of China town. A hard-boiled film noir set at a California high school. The music is good. It creates the right tension for the film. The dialogue is tough and inspired by Dasheill Hammett. The cinematography is nice and wide. The film is well made and worth the effort. Directed by Rian Johnson, he also directed The Brothers Bloom. Solid work. Here’s to hoping it keeps coming.
